Sigourney Weaver is the queen in horror-comedy ‘Vamps’
Sigourney Weaver, who fought a monster queen in “Aliens,” will now act as a vampire queen in “Vamps,” a romantic horror-comedy from Amy Heckerling.
Written by Heckerling, the writer-director behind “Clueless” and “Look Who’s Talking,” the modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.
The UTA-repped Weaver, coming off of “Avatar,” will play Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night.
A late April start is being eyed.
Red Hour is producing as well as Lauren Versel of Lucky Monkey Pictures and Molly Hassell. GK Films affiliate Parlay Films is handling foreign sales.

Upcoming plans for Sigourney Weaver Fan
Hey guys! This post hasn’t much to do with Sigourney… well, not strictly speaking.
I just wanted to thank everyone for visiting and supporting this blog. When I first started working on it – a month and a few weeks ago – I had no idea it’d become such a relevant point of reference for many Sig’s fans.
So I finally decided to expand this blog and make it into a full fansite, complete with info, a functional gallery, a media archive and, who knows, maybe even a forum.
At this moment, I have so many ideas for the new Sigourney Weaver Fan. I started collecting as many HQ images as possible (and I already have hundreds of them which I can’t wait to share with you). Problem is it could take some time before everything’s ready. In the meanwhile, I’ll do my best to keep the blog as updated as possible.
One last thing: if you’re really good with graphic and website designing or if you think you have such a good knowledge of Ms. Weaver’s life and career that you could lend a hand writing a detailed bio, please, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sigourney Weaver Says She’s Coming Back for Avatar 2
In an interview with the French tv show Le Grand Journal, Sigourney Weaver revealed that she and James Cameron have discussed her return in the Avatar sequel.
SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN ‘AVATAR’ YET
But wait, you may be thinking (and the following is spoiler-y if you’re one of the dozens of people left who hasn’t seen Avatar), didn’t she die after the Na’vi tried to transfer her from her human body into her unanimated Avatar? That’s right! You have a good memory. But Weaver had a bit of an explanation for that, saying that her character still exists “in the tree,” whatever that means. We’ll admit that we’re a little skeptical of this idea, but at this point Cameron has earned the ability to do pretty much whatever the hell he wants.
